MUMBAI, INDIA

India is so great!  It is different than I thought, and very different from the other places we’ve been, but it’s been very interesting.  For one thing, the driving here is way crazier.  Drivers just kind of do what they want – whatever is bigger has the right-of-way, and the painted lanes on the streets are pretty much decoration.  Also, the honking never stops.  Literally.  You can’t go 2 seconds without hearing a few different horns.

Also, we are pretty much celebrities.  Every day, we have had people ask to take pictures with us and of us.  It is interesting to be so different.  We are some of the only Americans, or white people, and I think that Camilla and I are the only blondes I’ve seen here.

Church here was smaller than back home, but it was really nice; I really enjoyed it.  All the members and the missionaries were so nice and faithful.

India has a lot of beautiful architecture, all over the city.  My favorite was probably the Gateway of India which was built to welcome the British Monarchy a long time ago.  I also love trying the different foods (even though some of them are really spicy) and seeing the different culture and religions.  I have really enjoyed our time here in Mumbai.

Our hotel room is on the 5th floor, right across the street from the Indian Ocean.  At night, it gives us a beautiful view of the beach at sunset.
