SEOUL, KOREA

Korea has been awesome!  I really liked Seoul as a city and all the sights that we got to see.  The Imperial Palace was really cool just because it was so old.  It was around a thousand years old and it was a massive property with a lot of buildings.  The colors on the buildings were really cool. Another really cool sort of traditional thing we saw was the changing of the guard that they do in front of some sights in Seoul.

Probably my favorite part of our trip to South Korea was our visit to the DMZ.  After hearing so much about all the bad things going on in North Korea, it was really cool to actually be able to see inside their country from an observation deck.  We actually got within 200 meters from North Korean territory when we went in an underground tunnel built years ago by North Koreans trying to invade South Korea.  I also learned some cool things, like that North Korea builds propaganda houses by the border of South Korea to give off the impression that life is good there.  Also, the guards on the South and North Korean borders have to wear sunglasses so that they won’t get into “eye fights”.

Overall, Seoul was a really great place to visit and I had a great time!
