"Behold, I bring you good tidings of Great Joy!"

Uau, nu pot sa cred ca Craciun este in zece zile (Wow, I can’t believe Christmas is in 10 days)! Sunt foarte entusiasmat! (I'm very excited!) Craciun in Romania va fi foarte frumoasa si minunata (Christmas in Romania will be beautiful and wonderful!)

Grandma is absolutely right: "Christmas IS a wonderful time to be a missionary!"  All my life, my parents have taught me that giving myself, all of me, the best and worst, willingly to the Savior because I love Him and want to follow Him is the greatest gift to Him.

This has been an amazing week! It snowed a little bit after Thanksgiving, but since we haven't had much snow. I'm hoping we'll have some on Thursday, since on Wednesday we'll be going to Chisanau, Moldova for Zone Conference to hear from Elder Dyches of the Seventy! This has been a truly wonderful week!

Tuesday was the best day ever, a Christmas miracle for me and Sora Cutler!  We decided that we were going to try and find a referral someone had given us, so we were waiting for the tramvi. I complimented the lady sitting next to me on her hat, and that started a great conversation. We got her number, and today, we ended up seeing her again at the very same spot and I'm hoping that we'll be able to meet sometime this week! But back to Tuesday, we were walking up and down the streets trying to find the address when Sora Cutler noticed that across the street, the block's door was open. She looked at me and said, "It's open! Should we go blocknocking?" I smiled and said, "Let's do it!" So we went up to the very top floor and the second door we knocked on opened and an older woman opened the door. We asked if we could share the "A Savior is Born" video with her, and she said yes! Suzana let us come inside and share the video with her and her two adorable granddaughters! After we showed the video, we did a how to begin teaching lesson and asked if we could come back and share the rest of our message, and she said yes! Sora Cutler and I were thrilled! And then we went down to the next level and the only other door that opened was a cute young student named Gleidys from France! She let us come inside and share the video and she not only said we could come back, but asked if she could bring her friend!  Afterwards, Sora Cutler and I were in a state of shock, joy, and completely awed and humbled that we had just witnessed this miracle. But it doesn't even end there! At English, our spiritual thought was on the Book of Mormon and we gave three copies away to students. At the end of the day, I felt such joy and deep gratitude and humility, for the blessings of the video, the Book of Mormon, the Holy Ghost and most of all: for the love of our Father in Heaven and His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, who made it all possible.

This week, I was reading in Mosiah 3, I love this chapter because King Benjamin was telling his people of the glad tiding that an angel had brought to him, of a Savior who would be born, live, die and live again so that through Him, we could one day live with our Father in Heaven again. And then in verse 20, I read: "And moreover, I say unto you, that the time shall come when the knowledge of a Savior shall spread throughout every nation, kindred, tongue, and people." When I read those words, I felt such joy and gratitude that I, and all of us, could be blessed to play a part in the fulfillment of this promise, that we can "declare unto the people, that they also may be filled with joy." This truly is a joyful season, because we can say, with all our hearts "A Savior is born...Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men."

Craciun Fericiti! (Merry Christmas!)

The pictures are of me at palas, a Christmas village in Centru, and a Christmas tram! There is also one at a Christmas party, some of the members and the kids from the old BYU program that help at the orphanage, and us having a good time - I love that girl, she's the best!
